This Authenticity Guarantee outlines our commitment and the measures we take to ensure the genuineness of products sold on our Platform.
Our Commitment to Authenticity
Bigonus guarantees that items sold on our platform by our verified vendors are authentic as described. We strive to create an environment where you can shop with confidence.
1. SCOPE OF THE GUARANTEE
This Authenticity Guarantee applies to:
- All items listed in specific categories such as Luxury Handbags, Designer Apparel, Signed Memorabilia, Fine Jewelry.
- Items sold by vendors who have passed our specific authenticity verification process.
- Items explicitly marked with an "Authenticity Guaranteed" badge or statement on the product listing page.
Please check individual product listings to see if this Guarantee applies. If an item is not explicitly covered by this Guarantee, its authenticity is primarily the responsibility of the individual seller, though all sellers are expected to comply with our Marketplace Vendor Agreement, which prohibits the sale of counterfeit goods.
2. HOW WE UPHOLD AUTHENTICITY
We employ a multi-faceted approach to ensure authenticity, which may include:
- Vendor Vetting:
- Thorough screening and approval process for all vendors, particularly those selling high-value or frequently counterfeited items.
- Requiring vendors to provide proof of authenticity for certain items (e.g., purchase receipts, certificates of authenticity, provenance documentation).
- Product Review & Moderation:
- Manual or AI-assisted review of product listings for signs of counterfeit goods, inconsistencies, or misleading information.
- In-house or third-party expert authentication for select items before they are listed or shipped.
- Clear Product Descriptions: We require vendors to provide accurate, detailed descriptions and high-quality images of their products, including any marks, tags, or indicators of authenticity.
- Community Reporting: We encourage our community to report any listings they suspect may be inauthentic. See our Acceptable Use Policy & Community Guidelines for how to report.
- Strict Policies Against Counterfeits: Our Marketplace Vendor Agreement strictly prohibits the sale of counterfeit, fake, or replica items. Violations can lead to immediate account termination and other penalties.
3. VENDOR RESPONSIBILITY
All vendors on Bigonus are solely responsible for ensuring the authenticity and accurate description of the products they list. By selling on our Platform, vendors warrant that:
- All items are genuine and not counterfeit, replicas, or unauthorized reproductions.
- They have the legal right to sell the items.
- All product descriptions, including details about condition, materials, and origin, are truthful and accurate.
4. WHAT TO DO IF YOU QUESTION AN ITEM'S AUTHENTICITY
If you purchase an item covered by our Authenticity Guarantee from Bigonus and you have a good faith belief that it is not authentic, please follow these steps:
- Contact Us Immediately: Notify Bigonus Customer Support within 7 days of receiving the item. You can reach us at support@bigonus.com with the subject "Authenticity Concern - Order #[Your Order Number]".
- Provide Evidence: Please provide detailed reasons for your concern and any supporting evidence you may have.
- Cooperate with Investigation: We will investigate your claim, which may involve contacting the vendor and potentially requesting the item be returned for inspection. You agree to cooperate fully with this investigation.
- Do Not Alter the Item: Please keep the item in the condition you received it. Altering the item may void the guarantee.
5. RESOLUTION IF AN ITEM IS FOUND TO BE NOT AUTHENTIC
- You will be entitled to a full refund of the purchase price, including original shipping costs.
- We will cover the cost of return shipping for the item.
- Appropriate action will be taken against the vendor in accordance with our Marketplace Vendor Agreement.
6. LIMITATIONS OF THE GUARANTEE
- This Guarantee applies only to the authenticity of the item as described at the time of purchase and does not cover issues related to condition, buyer's remorse, or fit.
- The Guarantee is void if the item has been altered, damaged, or modified after receipt by the buyer.
- The Guarantee may not apply if the buyer fails to report concerns within the specified timeframe (7 days from receipt).
- This Guarantee is offered by Bigonus and is in addition to any rights you may have under our general Return and Refund Policy or applicable consumer protection laws.
7. MODIFICATIONS TO THIS GUARANTEE
We reserve the right to modify this Authenticity Guarantee at any time. We will post the revised Guarantee on this page and update the "Last Updated" date. Any changes will apply to purchases made after the date of the update.
