ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY & COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Welcome to Bigonus! Our mission is to provide a trusted, high-quality, and enjoyable curated platform for discovering and purchasing unique products, and for vendors to showcase their exceptional work. To achieve this, we require all users – including buyers, sellers/vendors, and visitors (collectively "Users," "You") – to adhere to this Acceptable Use Policy & Community Guidelines ("AUP").

This AUP is part of our Terms of Service and applies to all uses of bigonus.com (the "Platform") and its associated services. By accessing or using our Platform, You agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in account suspension, termination, or other actions as deemed appropriate by Bigonus.

1. OUR CORE PRINCIPLES

We strive to foster a community built on:

  • Respect: Treat all users with courtesy and respect. Harassment, bullying, and discriminatory behavior are not tolerated.
  • Trust & Honesty: Provide accurate information and engage in honest dealings. Misrepresentation and deceptive practices undermine our community.
  • Quality & Authenticity: As a curated platform, we value genuine, high-quality products and accurate representations.
  • Safety & Legality: Ensure all interactions and content comply with applicable laws and do not compromise the safety or well-being of others.

2. PROHIBITED CONTENT AND ACTIVITIES

The following list outlines content and activities that are strictly prohibited on Bigonus. This list is not exhaustive, and Bigonus reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, what constitutes a violation of this AUP.

2.1. Illegal Activities and Content:

  • Promoting, facilitating, or engaging in any illegal activity, including but not limited to, the sale of illegal goods or services, fraud, phishing, or money laundering.
  • Content that infringes upon or violates the intellectual property rights of others (e.g., copyrights, trademarks, patents). See our Intellectual Property Policy / DMCA Policy.
  • Content that violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.

2.2. Harmful and Offensive Content:

  • Hate speech, discriminatory content, or content that promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, or personal attacks against other users or Bigonus staff.
  • Obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit content.
  • Content that exploits or endangers children.
  • Glorification of violence, self-harm, or dangerous activities.
  • Defamatory, libelous, or slanderous statements.

2.3. Misleading and Deceptive Practices:

  • Impersonating any person or entity, or falsely stating or otherwise misrepresenting your affiliation with a person or entity.
  • Posting false, inaccurate, or misleading information in product listings, reviews, comments, or any other area of the Platform.
  • Creating fake accounts or multiple accounts for disruptive or deceptive purposes.
  • Manipulating reviews, ratings, or search results.
  • Phishing, pharming, or any other attempts to fraudulently obtain sensitive information.
  • Circumventing Platform fees or policies. See our Off-Platform Transactions Policy.

2.4. Platform Integrity and Security:

  • Uploading or distributing malicious software.
  • Interfering with or disrupting Platform operations.
  • Attempting unauthorized access to the Platform, user accounts, or Bigonus systems.
  • Using automated means (bots, scrapers) to collect data.
  • Overloading the Platform with excessive traffic.
  • Spamming or posting repetitive content.

2.5. Specific to a Curated Marketplace:

  • Listing products that do not meet Bigonus's curation criteria.
  • Misrepresenting product authenticity. (Relates to our Authenticity Guarantee.)
  • Failure to fulfill orders or provide adequate customer service. (See Marketplace Vendor Agreement.)
  • Violating product category restrictions.

3. USER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You're responsible for all content you post and activities under your account.
  • You agree to use the Platform in accordance with this AUP and laws.
  • You're responsible for securing your account credentials.
  • Vendors must comply with this AUP and Platform policies.

4. REPORTING VIOLATIONS

Report violations by:

  • Using "Report" or "Flag" features on the Platform.
  • Emailing support@bigonus.com with "AUP Violation Report" and details.

5. ENFORCEMENT

Bigonus may:

  • Warn, remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts.
  • Withhold payouts.
  • Report to authorities or take legal action.

6. MODIFICATIONS

We may update this AUP and will post revisions with the "Last Updated" date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
